Finding Bras That Fit
Shopping for lingerie in a larger size is frustrating. Most brands treat anything past a D cup or size 16 like it barely exists. But some companies do it right.
Sizing that makes sense
A bra either fits or it doesn’t. The brands worth buying from offer proper size ranges – up to 46E in bras, UK size 24 in briefs. Wider bands and adjustable straps aren’t special features. They’re basics. Without them, you’ve wasted your money.
Bravissimo started with this and stuck with it. UK brands like Curvy Kate and Panache have been doing fuller cup sizes for years. Elomi goes up to a K cup as standard.

Fabric
Soft fabrics and breathable materials – lace, mesh, cotton blends – mean you can wear something all day without thinking about it. Satin looks nice in photos but digs in. You need stretch. You need seams in the right places. That’s what stops a bra becoming torture by lunchtime.
More than beige t-shirt bras
Larger sizes want more than plain, practical underwear. Dora Larsen makes beautiful sets in bigger sizes. Playful Promises does vintage-style pieces up to a G cup. Freya has swimwear and lingerie with colour and interesting lace. Things you could wear under a sheer top if you wanted to – why shouldn’t fuller-figured women have those options?
